Mamta Kalia  We are very pleased to announce that Mamta Kalia ji has accepted our invitation and will participate in our workshop. We will have the unique opportunity to read and discuss her works with her. Mamta Kalia Mamta Kalia (1940, Mathura) is an acclaimed Hindi writer, who has written numerous short stories, dramas, novels, essays, poems, and articles since the 1970s. She has written more than 200 short stories and has worked as the editor of 'Hindi', the literary magazine of the Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University. She lived in various cities of India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Indore, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Pune, however, she served for thirty years as the principal of the Mahila Sevadasan Degree College in Allahabad. She holds a degree in English (Hindu College, Delhi University) but she writes in Hindi. Her central themes are women's equality and various social issues.
